Tenebræ is a series of pieces for acoustic instruments and live-electronics. Jean-François Charles invited a group a musicians to improvise while he uses his Spectral DJ . I had the honor to be a part of this series in the first track of the album with Jean-François after our album, Jamshid Jam.

All the tracks in this album were performed and recorded as live duets, where both musicians listen and react to each other. Jean-François Charles sampled and remixed the other musician's sound in real time with his custom set-up and software Spectral DJ. Some of the tracks were edited, but no electronic sound was generated after the initial duet takes, and no overdub takes were made.
